Green Girl Adrienne Boukis's Green Gear Bags

The Story

The who, what, where, when and why of the bags is truly an inspiration. It started about a year ago when a seventh-grader, Adrienne Boukis, became fed up with constantly throwing away her lunch bags. Adrienne has always been eco-conscious -- her house is powered by solar electricity, she loves nature and often befriends the local stray, and has little tolerance for others who blatantly abuse our planet.

Getting Adrienne to use a rigid lunch box was impossible.  She liked to stuff her lunch bag in her backpack along with the 20 lbs of books and other items necessary for today's middle-schoolers.  One day, she approached her mother and asked if she could make a reusable bag that was not only made of recycled materials, but was also recyclable.

Adrienne's mother, Rosalind, owns Advertising Magic, Inc., an advertising specialties distributorship located in Walnut Creek California.  In the normal course of her job, Rosalind is used to finding items for her clients.  She was certain that she could find a lunch bag from one of her dozens of bag suppliers.  After much searching, it turns out that none had been invented yet.  Realizing that there was a great need for something like this, Adrienne and Rosalind set out to design the perfect lunch bag.

Now, we offer an immensely popular lunch bag -- with tens of thousands in use today, they have been purchased as give-aways to  huge events (55 thousand) for the Colorado Bolder-Boulder race, as fund raisers for schools, as packaging by restaurants and deli's, as well as individuals who just want to do the right thing.
